Lafayette Football Game at Georgetown Ruled ‘No Contest’ Because of Weather

Lafayette College was trailing at Georgetown University 13-7 on Thursday night when the game was suspended and then ruled “no contest” because of lightning.

The game in Washington, D.C. was to the first for both teams and the opening Patriot League game of 2026. The game will not be rescheduled.

Lafayette will now play its first official game at the University of Connecticut on Sept. 5.
