Zest, south Bethlehem’s rooftop bar and restaurant, needs a new sign because of the Hilton Tempo hotel being built on Third Street.

“Hotel construction has obstructed view of existing sign,” according to Zest’s application to put up a new sign, submitted to the Historic Conservation Commission.

If the HCC approves, Zest will remove a sign facing west and replace it with a sign about 10 feet above the ground at 306 S. New St. The commission is an advisory body. It will review the Zest proposal at a meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 21 in Town Hall.

The Hilton Tempo at 36 W. Third Street will be across from ArtsQuest’s Creative Factory. It will have 140 rooms and is projected to open in October 2027.

High Real Estate is developing the hotel. Tempo is one of 28 Hilton brands.
