Palmer Township will review the transfer of a liquor license to the Rutter’s convenience store being opened near the Route 33 exit to Stockertown.
The township placed a legal ad for a public hearing on Oct. 5 on the transfer of a restaurant liquor license to 1280 Main St.
The license location is given as 1616 Main St., Catasauqua, the address of Metro & John Cafe.
Municipalities have to approve the transfer of liquor licenses from outside their borders. The vote is usually routine. Final decisions are made by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
The Palmer Township Board of Supervisors will meet at the municipal building, 3 Weller Place, at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, for the public hearing on the transfer.
