The Easton Area School District will take a final look tonight at a 2026-27 budget that would raise property taxes 3.5%.

Some of that increase will go toward paying off the $298 million new high school.

The 2026-27 budget projects $223.3 million in total spending. About $151 million of the revenue to support the district comes from local sources, mostly the property tax. If the budget is approved the 2026-27 tax rate will be 74.7 mills.

Item 10 B on tonight’s agenda: Motion to approve the 2026 – 2027 Proposed Final Budget, as presented.

The agenda is posted on the district website, along with the budget.

The Board of Directors of the Easton Area School District will meet at 7 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, May 26, at the district education center, 1801 Bushkill Drive.. See the district website for the agenda.
