The Upper Macungie Township Board of Supervisors will vote Thursday on an electricity substation for TierPoint, a data-center company.
Earlier that day, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission will also consider PPL Corp.’s plans for adding power lines in the township to serve TierPoint, owner of Tek Park in the township.

The board will also consider “121 Nestle Way & 8361 Schantz Road – Final Lot Consolidation and Land
Development Plan.” That is a separate proposal, and while I’m not fully up to speed on it, the plan was for a warehouse.
The Upper Macungie Township Board of Supervisors will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6, at the township Community Lifestyle Center, 340 Grange Road.

As the letter notes, “The Project crosses four public roads: Haas Hill Road, Newtown Road, Long Lane, and Tillage
Road.”
