The Easton Area School Board agenda for tonight includes a list of minimum salaries for administrative and support personnel, along with benefits, pensions and paid time off.
The list, which does not include the superintendent of schools and some other posts, tops out at $108,000 for six jobs, all with the title of “director.”

For some reason, the attachment for the compensation plan is a clickable tag to the right of “Pledge of Allegiance.”
The compensation plan is valid from July 1, 2026 until June 30, 2029, according to the document.
Working in a public school isn’t easy, but all in all, EASD appears to be a good place to work.
The district raised property taxes by 3.5% in June, and is building a new high school, cost estimated at $298 million.

These are minimums, but not actuals, right? Supervisor of safe schools has a good gig because he retired from the EPD. Like many organizations that benefit from public funding, the EASD is very top heavy and may benefit from streamlining positions.

Right, these are minimums. It would be interesting to see a flow chart.
In the old days when Willard Clewell served on the Allentown School Board, he said there were lots of supervisors and coordinators in the district.
“The coordinators coordinate the supervisors and the supervisors supervise the coordinators,” as he said.
Sometimes he said it the other way around. Intentionally.
