Six Flags, owner of Dorney Park, will post its third-quarter financial results on Nov. 5.
The amusement-park operator formed by the 2024 combination of Cedar Fair and Six Flags has been faltering almost since that deal.
The shares (NYSE:FUN) recently touched a 52-week low of $10.45. The closing price today was $11.63, less than half the high of $27.37 in the last 52 weeks.
Zacks Investment Research projects earnings per share of $1.80, based on the average estimate of four Wall Street analysts. The consensus estimate may change before the earnings announcement.
Six Flags has sold parks and changed management in the past year and with the stock way down, more announcements may be on the way. Six Flags has about $5 billion in debt.
The company is moving its headquarters to Texas from North Carolina.
Jana Partners, which owns about 9% of the stock, has pushed for Six Flags to seek a sale of the entire company, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Six Flags will announce earnings early Nov. 5 and hold what will be a much-listened-to conference call at 8 a.m.
In the third quarter of 2025, Six Flags reported revenue of $1.32 billion and a loss of $1.2 billion. The loss included a $1.5 billion non-cash charge against goodwill and other intangible assets, a recognition that the value of some assets was less than the value on the company’s books.
